Both coxofemoral joints feel abnormal on palpation, L worse than R - feels like femoral head is displaced out of socket. No flexing/laxity/crepitus noted on palpation. Small bump felt on palpation of center of coracoids but shoulder feel stable on palpation. On ground, bird stands with L leg turned slightly out to the side. Mild L wing hike noted as well. Standing and moving/kicking well. Took repeat x-rays: L femur is luxated out of joint, caudal thoracic vertebrae and synsacrum appear bright and curved. Possible small mid coracoid fracture seen on lateral view. Drew blood from the R medial metatarsal vein. Fluids: 20 cc LRS SQ A: Bird appears to have abnormalities of the hips and caudal spine. Suspect old trauma rather than developmental issue. Still appears to have decent mobility at this time and everything feels stable, so may give bird time in care to continue to see how bird grows/develops. Prognosis very guarded. P: Monitor mobility. Consider trying outside once fecal is negative.

Abnormal protrusion palpated over dorsal/lateral side of L pelvis near hip joint. Feet: NSF Body: NSF Feather condition: In blood, tail just starting to unfurl Ectoparasites: None seen Radiographic findings: Scoliosis of spine with prominent S curve that extends from shoulders to tip of tail Initial treatment: Gave 20cc LRS SQ in R inguinal and dropped 30g chopped rat A: Severe abnormal curvature to spine and limited ROM at L hip. Guarded prognosis as may limit bird's ability to ambulate normally and may struggle to use legs well enough to kick off for flight. Patient was very uncooperative for rads, so some of abnormal positioning may be due to amount patient was wiggling. P: Vet check tomorrow along with blood and fecal check. Monitor ability to ambulate. SF in PM, HF in AM if DNE
